With ALBA Secure-Recycle, you can recycle selected data-bearing devices conveniently through Pick! Lockers or SPX Service Points.
Your device is securely handled and tracked through the recycling journey - from the moment you drop it off until it is successfully recycled by an NEA-licensed recycler.
At the end of the process, you will also receive a Certificate of Destruction for your submission.

From Drop-Off to Destruction
The Certificate of Destruction is issued for each order directly to the requestor. Where available and visible, details such as brand, model and IMEI, as well as the quantity of devices, will be reflected in the certificate.
How ALBA Secure-Recycle Works
Submit Your Request
Choose how you would like to drop off your item(s): Pick! Locker or SPX Service Point. Complete the relevant Secure-Recycle request form and declare the device(s) you intend to recycle.
Receive Your Drop-off Details
Once your request has been submitted, you will receive an email with the information you need to complete your drop-off.
- Using Pick!? You will receive your Pick! Locker PIN and deposit details via email.
- Using SPX? You will receive your tracking number and drop-off details via email.

Drop your device off at your selected Pick! Locker or SPX Service Point.
SPX Service Point
Pack your items securely and bring it to your selected SPX Service Point with the required tracking details.

Before You Drop Off
Prepare your device for its recycling journey:
Back Up
Save any files, photos or information you wish to keep.
Log Out
Sign out of your accounts and services.
Remove
Remove your SIM card and removable storage media.
Reset
Perform a factory reset of your device.
Battery Safety
IMPORTANT: Do not place rechargeable batteries in the lockers or pack them for SPX service points.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the ALBA Secure-Recycle process take?
The entire process takes approximately 14 working days, assuming that each stage is successfully completed, from the receipt of your device to the issuance of your Certificate of Destruction.
Will I receive confirmation that my device has been recycled?
Yes. You will receive email updates at key stages of the process. Once your device has been successfully recycled by an NEA-licensed recycler, you will receive an email with a link to download your Certificate of Destruction.
What information will be included in my Certificate of Destruction?
The Certificate of Destruction is issued based on each submitted order and addressed directly to the requestor. Where possible and visible, details such as the brand, model and IMEI of the device will be included, together with the quantity submitted.
Will I get ALBA STEP UP points if I recycle via ALBA Secure-Recycle?
No. The ALBA Secure-Recycle programme includes value-added services such as secure handling and end-to-end traceability, including a Certificate of Destruction, with these costs fully covered by ALBA. Therefore, STEP UP points are not awarded for this collection channel.
How long do I have to complete my drop-off?
For SPX, the request is valid for 7 days, and a reminder email will be sent one day before expiry. For Pick!, users will receive the deposit validity period and locker details in the confirmation email, with a reminder sent one day before expiry.
What happens if I declare the wrong items or provide incorrect tracking details?
Your submission will only be considered valid when all required steps have been completed successfully, including correctly declaring your items and providing the required tracking information.
